Only a few days after reopening, the Galloper had to close its doors again after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19. The management wish to stress that the team member was not at work at any point since the pub reopened and that the correct social distancing measures and safeguards were in place while members of staff were in the building. The other staff are being tested.
However, the group’s first priority is always the safety and comfort of both team and guests and to err on the side of caution, regardless of the financial impact.
It has been decided therefore that to reopen is not the right thing to do at this stage and that the Galloping Horse will remain closed throughout the festive period, with sincere apologies to our customers and the hope for their understanding. Further updates will be provided regarding reopening, bookings will be contacted and any vouchers will be extended indefinitely.
The Galloper’s management and staff wish all their customers a very Merry Christmas and a brighter 2021, with a promise that they will return in the New Year.
